Antiques East Coast Style
Fall is the best time to go in search of some unique finds. After a recent trip to Brimfield Market, we got excited about sharing our favorite places to unearth a new treasure.
BRIMFIELD ANTIQUES MARKET
The Mother of Antique markets, Brimfield has over 6,000 booths with everything from vintage canoes, to denim to fishing buoys. Bring your walking shoes and prepare to score some treasures. The only hard part: How do you get that antique canoe home?
ESSEX, MA
When the gates of Brimfield have closed this town stays open all year for antique-hunters. This pretty as a picture town has no shortage of charming antique stores. A few of our favorites are Howards Flying Dragon and The White Elephant Shop.
ELDRED'S AUCTIONEERS
For some true East Coast gems, Eldred’s is the place. They’ve been a New England tradition for over 60 years. You can attend a live auction at their Cape Cod location or do your bidding online. For upcoming auctions visit Eldreds.com
DERBY SQUARE FLEA
Here’s a great reason for a weekend trip to historic Salem, MA. This eclectic monthly vintage market has everything from collectibles, antiques, salvage, as well as jewelry, art and handmade goods by local artisans. The market takes place the third Saturday of May through September in Derby Square.
